Letter from our Session Clerk – March 2015

Dear Friends in Clincarthill,

A GREAT  BIG  THANK YOU  to all of you who have donated items for the Mary’s Meals  appeal. It was a really super response.  We have commenced our Lent Bible study which has instigated a great deal of discussion. Because of this there will be no celebration of Communion at the evening service on March 8th.

March 8th will also be the Annual Stated meeting of the congregation after the morning service.  So please be prepared to stay behind for a short time to hear how the finances are doing.

The Nominating Committee have compiled the advert for the post of minister and it will appear in April’s  edition of Life and Work.  Check out the church website  and Facebook for the church profile and  advert and pray that we have the response we hope for.

It is a great joy to see the people of God working away at this time of vacancy, I feel a great sense of purpose in the work going on here in God’s service.

The Womens’ Conference also takes place this month. The organising team had to face a set-back when Hampden could no longer accommodate the conference but God is good and the venue has been changed to Langside College. This has been the result of a lot of hard work by Doreen Watson and Rhona Gann so we continue in Hope that the day will be stimulating and challenging to those who attend.

Wishing you God’s blessing,

Sheila Morrow
Session Clerk
